Week 3 Overview
Game Day is Saturday
Games for week three are on Saturday as the Super Bowl in on Sunday. Please show up 15-20 minutes before your scheduled game time.
Sportsmanship and Big Leads
Coaches, if your team is out to a big lead in the second half of the game, it would be an opportune time to let some of your players handle the ball that doesn’t normally get the chance. Let them try to run the offense and get in situations they might not normally be accustom to. If your better players steal the ball, have them set up the offense instead of running down and scoring on breakaways. Get everyone involved, teach your players that basketball is a team game. Some coaches have already done this in their games and we appreciate it.
Player Rotations
3rd/4th & 5th/6th Coaches, your scorebooks will be filled out for you this weekend. We have completed the rotation file for the rest of the regular season and it can be viewed here: Rotation File for 2018. If a player is absent, the rotation stays the same, the player is skipped for that week and everyone else moves up a spot in the rotation from that player’s rotation spot.
BlackCats Gear
We have gotten our BlackCats online store open through Varsity Sports. Items will be available to purchase through Monday, February 12th at 9:00 AM. After the ordering phase is done, Varsity Sports will print all orders and notify us when they are ready. We will pick up ALL orders and distribute them on BlackCats Sundays.
